OVP partners with 50 more hospitals, dialysis centers

The Office of the Vice President (OVP) has partnered with 50 hospitals and dialysis centers, expanding its list of service providers and coverage for its medical assistance program.

With this, the OVP said the number of its partner public and private hospitals, and dialysis centers has reached 84 as part of its medical and burial assistance program.

The medical and burial assistance program is the OVP’s banner social services, which Vice President Sara Duterte intends to expand through its satellite offices to make them more accessible to the people.

“Medical and burial assistance are among the social services implemented by the OVP, and these have been the most requested aid of marginalized Filipinos,” Duterte’s office said in a statement on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

According to the OVP, there have been 20,002 beneficiaries of the program since Duterte assumed office with aid amounting to P179,600,103.27 as of Dec. 9.

Aside from the OVP Central Office in Mandaluyong City, in-patient and out-patient beneficiaries may now avail themselves of the medical assistance through the seven satellite offices in Bacolod, Surigao del Sur, Cebu, Davao, Tacloban, Dagupan, and Zamboanga.

For the OVP Central Office, the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center, National Children’s Hospital, Philippine Children’s Medical Center and the Philippine Orthopedic Center have been added to the list of OVP’s partner hospitals.

The Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital, Gov. Valeriano Gatuslao Memorial District Hospital, Himamaylan City, Riverside Medical Center Inc., Bacolod Queen of Mercy Hospital, Bacolod Adventist Medical Center, South Bacolod General Hospital, The Doctors Hospital Inc., Metro Bacolod Hospital and Medical Center, HMOM Medical Specialty Hospital - Talisay City, HMOM Medical Specialty Hospital - Kabankalan City and Dr. Ramon B. Gustilo Hospital Manapla are among the new partner medical institutions at the OVP Bacolod Satellite Office.

In Cebu, the OVP’s new partner hospitals are as follows: Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Cebu South Medical Center (Talisay District Hospital), Eversley Child Sanitarium, Chonghua Hospital, Cebu Doctors Hospital, UC Med Bisayas Med, North Gen Hospital, Saint Vincent Hospital, Southwestern Medical Center, Mediano Dialysis Center and Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

In Dagupan, the OVP partner hospitals include the Region I Medical Center, Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, Nazareth General Hospital, Medical City Pangasinan, Coquia Dialysis Center, Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Hospital, Cuision Hospital Inc., Medical Centrum Dagupan, Urdaneta Sacred Heart Hospital and Lorma Medical Center.

The Davao City OVP satellite office also partnered with the Southern Philippines Medical Center, Socsargen County Hospital, Davao Regional Hospital/Davao Regional Medical Center, Kidapawan Doctors Hospital, Mlang Specialist Medical Hospital, Mindanao Doctors Hospital And Cancer Center, Kabacan Polymedic Hospital, Dr. Aturo Pinggoy Hospital, Davao Del Sur Provincial Hospital and Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center.

Medical assistance beneficiaries from OVP Surigao Satellite Office can now be catered in Madrid District Hospital, Adela Medical Center, Andres Soriano Hospital, Vida Dialysis Center, Butuan Doctors Hospital, Manuel J. Santos Hospital, San Francisco Doctors and Esperanza Community Hospital.

In Tacloban, OVP’s partner hospitals are Ormoc District Hospital, Divine Word Hospital, Nephroline Dialysis Center, Immaculate Conception Hospital, Baybay City Medical Diagnostic And Dialysis Center, Eastern Samar Provincial Hospital and Tacloban City Hospital.

OVP Zamboanga satellite office has also added Zamboanga City Medical Center, Mindanao Center Sanitarium, Labuan General Hospital, Hospital De Zamboanga, Zamboanga Doctors Hospital, West Metro Medical Center, Ciudad Medical De Zamboanga, Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center, Brent Hospital and Zamboanga Dialysis Center to its list of partner hospitals.
