MB Daily News Update: AFP says no to Yuletide truce with Reds

President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. met with King Philippine of Belgium that highlighted a productive stint at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-European Union (EU) Commemorative Summit in Brussels.

Though nursing a cold, Marcos was able to banner relations between the Philippines and ASEAN, on one hand, and the EU, on the other, as talks delved on economic recovery, digitalization, trade, investments, and climate change.

A grim assessment released by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)-Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) showed that the world-famous Boracay Island could be in danger of collapsing after 815 sinkholes were discovered there.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is closing its doors on any ceasefire with the New People’s Army (NPA) during the Christmas holidays.

Details of these major stories are but a click away in today’s MB Daily News Update.
