Makati announces road closures for Dec. 14 Christmas celebration

The Makati City government announced several road closures in relation to its Makati Christmas Celebration to be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

According to the city government, the Makati Public Safety Department (PSD) will implement the road closures and alternative routes from 3:00 p.m. onwards.

For residents living in affected areas, the road closures are as follows:

- From Dr. Jose P. Rizal Ave./ F. Zobel St. straight to N. Garcia St.

- Right turn to Antipolo St.

- Right turn to Osmeña St.

- Right turn to E. Zobel St.

- Then right turn to residential street

It added that one way traffic flow will be implemented for involved agencies, VIPs, and guests only.

The city government also reminded the public that parking of vehicles at the Makati City Hall Quadrangle, F. Zobel St., E. Zobel St., Angono St., Osmeña St., Ma. Aurora St., Cardona St., Buencamino St., Morong/Baras St. (except for Emergency Vehicles), and Zenaida St. is prohibited during the event.

Aside from the celebration, a Christmas concert, through the Makati Cultural Affairs Office, will be held featuring the Manila Symphony Orchestra, Choral Society of Makati, and the Makati City Youth Orchestra at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Circuit Makati.

The event will start at 4:30 p.m. and will be attended by Makati City Mayor Abby Binay and other city officials.
