In a circular, the Church leader urged parishioners to attend the dawn masses in their respective parishes instead of just joining online.

“Let us strongly encourage our parishioners to a real and actual celebration of the ‘Simbang Gabi’ masses and all other masses in our chapels and churches, and no longer through virtual and on-line watching,” part of his circular read.

The Archdiocese of San Fernando in Pampanga said anticipated masses should begin at 6 p.m. while the last mass for the Misa de Gallo must be celebrated at 6 a.m. The archdiocese also said it would not allow holy masses to be celebrated in offices, private homes, and establishments, including radio and TV stations.

Anticipated masses for the ‘Simbang Gabi’ will be from Dec. 15 to 23, the archdiocese said as it reminded members of the clergy of the designated liturgy for the ‘Simbang Gabi’ and Misa de Gallo.

“Let us continuously pray the Oratio Imperata to our Santo Cristo del Perdon y Caridad through the intercession of our Virgen de los Remedios,” Archbishop Lavarias said.

The prelate assured the faithful of his prayers particularly for those who will be attending the nine-day “Simbang Gabi” votive masses in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
