HONOR is hitting back hard to make up for lost time here in the country. Their latest series of HONOR smartphones are all visually stylish and ship with an impressive specs sheet.
The HONOR 70 is dressed to kill. It’s full of flair, and its design is clearly aimed for young professionals about to start out.
The review unit that fell into our hands is Emerald Green, which looks fantastic. It also comes with Crystal Silver and Midnight Black, which are both fine, especially the former with its unique patterns. But for me, the Emerald Green wins my heart.
The 6.67-inch OLED display features 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400x1080, making it one of the most impressive screens for smartphones. It’s made for video bingeing, gaming, and other recreational activities.
It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus, making it a satisfying gaming phone. That processor would also allow it to better process images and, combined with the 8GB RAM, should be able to run multiple apps without compromising speed and performance.
Rear cameras come in threes: 54MP with IMX800, 50MP Ultra Wide and Macro, and a 2MP Depth Camera. The front camera features 32MP that can capture images up to resolution of 6528 x 4896 – that is some serious pixels for a selfie. Video for selfie camera goes up to 2520 x 1080 with stabilization, making it a strong contender for content creation.
Battery is set at 4800mAh and manages to end the day with plenty left for spare. It also supports both fingerprint sensor and facial recognition.
The HONOR 70 is only one of the devices that has reached the country. With this new series, HONOR is making a strong comeback and should definitely be one of the to-be-watched names in the smartphone world.
