9 hurt in Bukidnon multiple vehicle collision – police

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Nine persons were injured in a multiple vehicle collision on the Sayre Highway in Barangay Maluko, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon on Tuesday, Dec. 13, police said.

The Bukidnon Police Provincial Office said a Pabama Tours bus driven by Warlito Araneta of Maramag, Bukidnon bound for Kibawe, Bukidnon from this city lost its brakes while descending the wet road and rammed a Toyota Vios sedan in front.

The bus encroached on the opposite lane and bumped a Toyota Hi-Ace van and a Suzuki Every Wagon Van.

Charlemagne Dosdos Boquela, the driver of the Toyota Hi-Ace Van, and his six passengers, Neva Jean Arante, 26, of north Maramag; Minda Bon, 49, and Julia Vedro of Cabanglasan town, Bukidnon; Helen Sayoba, 37, of Malitbog town, Bukidnon; and Arlene Ive Dila Pedra, 37, and Blayne Conrad Dila Pedra of Malaybalay City, Bukidnon; Rolando Corpuz Cadalawan Jr., the driver of the Suzuki Every Wagon Van, and his passenger

Marilou Rojo, a resident of Macanhan, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City, sustained injuries.

Victims were taken to the Bukidnon Provincial Hospital Annex in San Miguel, Manolo Fortich.

Araneta is under the custody of the Manolo Fortich Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
