ZAMBOANGA CITY- The Exposicion de Viajes -- a Zamboanga tourism promotion event -- culminated on Monday, Dec. 12.
The Regional Costume Competition featuring the different attire and costume of twelve major groups in Zamboanga Peninsula and the ZambaSulTa islands highlighted the three-day event.
Exposicion de Viajes is the premiere travel exposition in the region and its main goal was to showcase tourism-related services and products in Zamboanga Peninsula and the island provinces.
Activities include a culinary competition, cultural dance competition, the tourism quiz bee for high school and college students and the regional cultural costume competition.
The activity was organized by the Zamboanga City Tourism Office headed by Sarita Sebastian in collaboration with the Department of Tourism Regional Office.
Zamboanga mayor John Dalipe said the three-day event is in line with his administration’s thrust to promote tourism and economic development.
