Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said all city hall employees will receive a P10,000 Christmas bonus.
She made the announcement during the flag raising ceremony at the Malabon City Hall on Monday, Dec. 12.
Sandoval said that the bonus will be given to the employees for their hard work and perseverance in serving the city and its residents.
The mayor thanked the employees for their sacrifices and dedication, and asked them to continuously work together in providing services for the citizens.
“Sa pagpasok ng susunod na taon, sikapin natin na linangin pa ang ating mga kasanayan bilang city hall employees para mapaglingkuran pa nang mas maayos ang ating mga nasasakupan (At the start of the new year, let's try to improve our skills as city hall employees so that we can serve our constituents better,” she told the city hall employees.
During the ceremony, the mayor recalled some of the local government’s programs and achievements in the month of November such as the conduct of the Malabon Food and Gift Expo that provided an opportunity to showcase the food and other products made in the city, and the distribution of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) that aims to support the recovery of families and individuals from unexpected crisis (illness, death of a family member, fire and flooding incidents).
The mayor also mentioned the activities held for the successful resumption of face-to-face classes of students, as well as the 1,000 individuals who received financial assistance through the Cash for Work program spearheaded by the DSWD- National Capital Region and the City Social Welfare and Development Department.
The mayor also vowed to continue implementing programs that will help the residents in need.
“Itong papasok na Enero, salubingin natin ang taon ng may pag-asa at ngiti sa ating mga labi. Ituloy natin ang mga magagandang nasimulan nitong mga nakaraang buwan at pag-igihan pa ang mga bagay kung saan maaari pa nating galingan (This coming January, let's welcome the year with hope and a smile. Let's continue the good things that have been started in the last few months and work on the things where we can still improve),” Sandoval said.
The city hall employees who are working for 28 years and more were also recognized for their service during the ceremony.
