CEBU CITY – The company running Small Town Lottery in Cebu province denied that its license has been revoked by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
The Saturn Gaming N’ Amusement Corp. said that is still the authorized agent corporation (AAC) for Cebu.
“Kindly disregard any news of closure unless it is officially announced by an authorized Saturn representative,” said Andrea Alzate, the company’s general and administrative manager.
“There are external entities who are aiming to derail Saturn and establish animosity to affect our sales,” added Alzate in her memorandum addressed to the company’s operators and employees.
The company has sought assistance from the police in running after individuals illegally operating the numbers game called “Swertres.”
Saturn Gaming lamented that this illegal numbers game has been affecting sales.
Last week, seven persons were arrested in Cebu as police continued to intensify its campaign against Swertres in response to Saturn’s complaint.
Arrested were Angelito Cabillan Lareima of Barangay Poblacion, Talisay City; Allan Basera Tecson and Dondy Tecson Refuela of Barili town; Jemboy Diso-Asido Calandingan of Balamban town; Beulah Buladula Rodriguez of Naga City, Cebu; Doroteo Abutog Radores of of Minglanilla town, and Renan Pepito Magdadaro of Bogo City.
