Eastern Communications' Cloud business grew 175 percent this year, Vice President and Head of Product and Innovation Edsel Paglinawan announced during the recent CloudSigma's Global Partner Conference 2022 in Tokyo, Japan.
Cloud solutions became one of the main drivers of the local telco's revenue stream in the nationwide democratization of technology, he noted.
In 2022, Eastern Communications launched various initiatives related to data and cloud advancements, continuing to expand its Cloud portfolio to meet the market's increasing demand for the service and aid their digital transformation.

Furthermore, the telco enhanced its products, including its Platform as a Service (PaaS), enabling users to create applications from scratch and personalize them according to their needs.
Aside from increasing business productivity, this most recent addition also reduced the costs normally associated with creating cloud-based products.
The telco also offered a new product, the Eastern Cloud Virtual Router, to enable customers to manage their network and firewalls in the cloud, providing added network security and redundancy.
In 2023, Eastern Communications predicts more technological advances, particularly in the Cloud and Data sector.
The telco is "prepared to embrace these changes and make use of emerging knowledge and tools to help customers establish strategic plans and conduct day-to-day company operations".
