The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday, Dec. 12 a total of 8,292 new Covid-19 cases recorded during the past week.

In its weekly case bulletin, DOH disclosed that daily average cases is now at 1,185 which is 7 percent higher than cases from Nov. 28 to Dec. 4. The agency also recorded six additional cases tagged under severe and critical infections.
Currently, according to DOH's data, there are 650 severe and critical admissions which is 10.6 percent of total Covid-19 admissions.
On the other hand, 546 or 22.4 percent of 2,435 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds are being utilized while 4,758 or 24.0 percent of Non-ICU beds are being used.
DOH also recorded 156 more deaths due to Covid-19. The agency said that 34 of which occurred between Nov. 28 to Dec. 1.
Of the 156 deaths, 30 occurred in December 2022, 36 in November 2022, one in October 2022, six in February 2022, nine in January 2022, one in December 2021, four in November 2021, 17 in October 2021, 19 in September 2021, six in August 2021, three in July 2021, four in June 2021, seven in May 2021, seven in April 2021, one in February 2021, one in December 2020, one in September 2020, two in August 2020, and one in June 2020.
In terms of Covid-19 vaccination, a total of 73,709,100 individuals have been fully-vaccinated while 21,038,386 have received boosters or additional doses.
