AnaKalusugan Party-list Representative Ray Florence Reyes (House of Representatives)

Ray Florence Reyes is a healthcare advocate and a business executive that brings his 18 years of experience in various industries to the 19th Congress as Alagaan Natin Ating Kalusugan (AnaKalusugan) Party-list representative.

AnaKalusugan Party-list is a political group and a non-profit organization that focuses on public health and advocates for “equitable healthcare for Filipinos.” According to its Facebook page, the group offers free teleconsultation services for locals with health concerns and recently handed out free membership cards to a group of persons with disabilities (PWDs) to help them receive medical benefits, among others.

Before entering various industries, Reyes studied Management Information Systems at the Ateneo de Manila University and also took up Owner President Management Program at Harvard Business School Executive Education, based on his LinkedIn profile.

Outside public service, he was a general manager and First Bay Power Corporation president from 2005 to 2016 and 2017 to June 2022, respectively.

Under Comnet Management Corporation, Reyes was also a project manager from 2003 to 2016, vice president for business development from 2016 to 2017, and president since 2017.

He was a former business development manager at Adventureland International Leisure Corporation from 2013 to June 2022 and currently serves as the president of B.T.G. Holdings since 2013.

According to the AnaKalusugan Party-list website, its previous representatives were principal authors of 87 bills. Of these bills, 14 were enacted into law, which increased hospital beds to 1,135.

For his part, Reyes was one of the principal authors of House Bill (HB) 0430, or the Free Annual Medical Check-Up; HB 1694, or an act that will provide support for the spouse and children of slain justices and judges; HB 1828, or the Medical Bill Transparency Act; and HB 2189, or Ensuring Zero Hunger for All Filipinos, all filed this term.
