DICT commended for exemplary commitment, service in LGRRC

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region 4A was lauded for its exemplary commitment in championing local governance through information and communications technology (ICT).

This was through their implementation of Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) activities in 2022. LGRRC seeks to promote a “culture of learning” through its four major facilities: Multi-Media Knowledge and Information Service Facility, Capacity Development Facility, Linkage and Networking Facility, as well as Public Education on Governance and Development Facility.

Earlier, DICT explained that the LGRRC facilities help in establishing “good local governance” by teaching local government units to be “self-reliant” and “knowledge-centric.”

“Being an active member of the Multi-Sectoral Advisory Committee, the DICT Region 4A has accentuated their dedication in taking part towards the fulfillment of championing excellence in local governance ICT,” said the department.

The said award was given on Friday, Dec. 9, in time for CALABARZON’s 4th Quarter Multi-Sectoral Advisory Committee meeting.
