VP Duterte says women leaders are stronger than men; here's why
Women leaders tend to be stronger because they experience more “pain” than men, and thus make them more formidable in comparison, Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte said on Thursday, Dec. 1.

The official was asked by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy during an SMNI Exclusive interview about the advantages of being a woman leader.
Duterte talked about her belief that women are made stronger by their experiences in life.
The Vice President said, “A woman knows more pain than a man.”
Women’s strength comes from the heartaches and heartbreaks caused by men, and from the physical pain of giving birth to their children, she noted.
And it is not just childbirth that gives women so much physical pain because Duterte said the nine months of pregnancy are much the same.
“When a woman goes through so much many heartbreaks because the woman becomes formidable . . . I think all women are whether may anak sila (they have children) or hindi (or not), they are very strong in heart because of the pain that they go through,” Duterte shared.
The Vice President even jokingly said that women’s tears brought on by the men in their lives “caused” climate change.
“Yan ‘yung (That’s the) what makes a woman the pain that they have to endure makes really them strong,” she added.
