A member of the notorious Josue Guial robbery-holdup group responsible for the series of robbery in Pasay City was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Col. Byron Tabernilla, city police chief, identified the suspect as Marvin Boticario, Jr, 22.
Tabernilla said Boticario was arrested around 8:00 p.m. along Apelo Cruz St., Pasay City.
The city police chief said the suspect is now detained at the police custodial facility and was charged for violation of R.A. 10591, the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Tabernilla said based on the report submitted to him, members of the Pasay Intelligence Unit received a call from Barangay Intelligence Network (BIN) after the suspect was spotted along Apelo Cruz Street allegedly looking for a victim.
He said the police intelligence group immediately proceeded to the place and arrested the suspect who was armed with an improvised handgun.
The city police chief said the police's coordination with BIN is a big help in obtaining information for the arrest of lawless elements in the city.
