Drug suspect yields over P300,000 worth of shabu in Parañaque buy-bust

A suspected drug peddler was arrested by members of the Parañaque Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) during a buy-bust operation on Thursday, Dec. 1.

Col. Renato Ocampo, city police chief, identified the suspect as Jonathan Labong, 27.

Ocampo said Labong was arrested around 2:15 a.m. at Dasa Compound in front of Hontiveros Compound in San Antonio, Parañaque City.

The city police chief said members of the SDEU, together with operatives of Police Sub-Station 5, conducted an entrapment operation that targeted Labong, known for his alleged illegal drug trade in the area.

Ocampo said about P353,600 worth of shabu, P500 buy-bust money, and one brown pouch were recovered from the suspect.

He said the suspect is now detained at the police custodial facility and was charged with illegal possession of prohibited drugs.

The city police chief said the confiscated illegal drug was turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for analysis.
