Inaugurates national headquarters
Following on their success in 2022, Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) hopes to continue the momentum with the introduction of two new models to broaden their crossover lineup: the Uni-T and Uni-K.
The launch was fittingly held during the inauguration of the Changan National Headquarters on December 2, signaling the Changan’s long term commitment in the company.
The two new vehicles set a higher standard for lifestyle crossovers, sporting Changan’s latest avant-garde “Vision V” design language.
Luxury, sport, and tech
The first of these models, the Uni-T, ushers in the modern design with its diamond-shaped borderless front grille. Another distinguishing feature is the V-shaped rear spoiler integrated with its extra-large panoramic glass roof. These cues are intended to add a sporty touch to the exterior, but also effectively direct air flow for better stability at high speeds.
Powering the Uni-T is Changan’s 1.5-liter Blue Core Turbocharged Gasoline Direct injection (TGDi) engine that produces maximum power of 179-Ps and torque of up to 300-Nm. It’s mated to a seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) Electronic Shift with Normal, Eco, and Sport drive modes.
The inside is loaded with technology and push-button conveniences for today’s modern driver. It also comes with an Auto Parking Assist (APA) system which can be activated to automatically complete a rear parking maneuver, hands-free.
The Uni-K, on the other hand, offers elegance with its sophisticated design. It features Changan’s signature borderless grille with a hexagonal grille pattern design. It’s flanked by Trident Daytime Running Lights (DRL), starship headlights, an airship-shape rear spoiler, and massive 21-inch alloy wheels.
Powering it is a 2.0-liter Changan Blue Core TGDi engine that produces 232-Ps of maximum power and 390-Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed shift-by-wire automatic transmission system. It has two-wheel drive (2WD), automatic, and four-wheel drive (4WD) lock modes with an All-Wheel Drive switch to effectively navigate various road conditions.
Both cars pampers the driver with cockpit brimming with intuitive technology and creature comforts to make driving as inviting and as convenient as possible. Hidden door handles add to the streamlined look. Voice control can also be activated, which aids in such functions like opening or closing windows, operating the radio and the automatic air conditioner, and making or receiving calls.
Both boast of a premium Sony sound system for your listening pleasure. Loading essentials and other travel gear comes easy with its electric tailgate with induction sensor that opens the cargo door hands-free.
Both also are a class above when it comes to safety. Their Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) can achieve Level 2 autonomous driving with an abundance of advanced active safety features. Among these are Blind Spot Detection Warning (BSDW) that triggers visual and audio alerts for rear side warning, door opening and lateral warnings; Lane Keeping Assist (LKA); Automated Emergency Braking (AEB); Integrated Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC) with Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC); Lane Departure Warning (LDW); Front Collision Warning (FCW); Rear Cross Traffic Alert among others.
The Uni-T, priced at P1,679,000 SRP, and Uni-K, priced at P2,719,000 SRP, are available for indent orders at Changan dealers nationwide.
New headquarters
As mentioned earlier, Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) held the inauguration and blessing of the CMPI National Headquarters on December 2, 2022 at the Auto Resources Center (ARC) in Calamba City, Laguna.
The CMPI National Headquarters is envisioned to set the standards for the Changan business in the Philippines, observing the global corporate identity of Changan International Corporation (CIC). It will serve as the premier showcase and training hub for dealership facilities and operations in the Philippines.
The national headquarters stands on more than 2,300 square meters of space within the pioneering 20-hectare green automotive facility of the Auto Resources Center (ARC) in Calamba, Laguna.
The headquarters boasts of a 3S (sales, service, spare parts) facility, mirroring the excellence of serving motorists the Changan way, which is anchored on the brand’s commitment to lasting safety.
At the front stands an elegant showroom with a grand brand wall and reception. Its massive 288 square meters of space and six-meter high ceiling can accommodate up to nine vehicle displays with enough floor space for customers to check out Changan’s bestsellers.
The 1,245 square meters of main service workshop and service extension building consists of general job work bays including an electric vehicle charging station and body repair work bays with painting booth and support rooms.
Within the headquarters complex is the expansive service area, boasting of the complete lineup of Changan’s Vital 5 Plus service offerings: 5-year or 100,000 mileage Warranty, Pace-setter Towing Service Mobile initiative, Fastlane 60-minute service guarantee, Veloservice Service Appointment Booking, and the Changan Artificial Intelligence Agent or CAIA.
To cater to Changan’s future line of Electric Vehicles, the first Changan E.V. charging station is operational at the CMPI National HQ.
The entire HQ employs Changan’s Care Suite (C-Suite) of advanced safety and health protocols to ensure the protection of visitors, customers, and on-site personnel.
The CMPI headquarters operates in synergy with CIC and the Changan dealer network with an aim to consistently deliver quality and excellence in motoring, service, and workmanship, attesting to Changan’s mission of driving change in personal mobility.
