ROSARIO, Cavite – It is not every day that you see a herd of cattle freely roaming the streets alongside vehicles.

A video taken by Jyzell Ubas on Dec. 4 shows the herd taking a leisurely stroll along Marseilla St. in Barangay Poblacion.

"Nasa convenience store ako at nagbabayad na sa cashier, 'yung kahera napatigil at natulala. 'Nung makita ko, natuwa at na-excite talaga ako. Sabi ko pa, hala may parade ng mga baka, ano meron at saan sila pupunta? (I was in a convenience store and I was paying at the counter. The cashier stopped and was dumbfounded. When I saw what she was looking at, I was thrilled and excited. I said, wow, there is a cattle parade, what is going on and where are they going)," the 28-year-old online seller who uploaded the video on Facebook told the Manila Bulletin.

In a phone interview, Rosario Public Information Officer Sid Samaniego told the Manila Bulletin that the cattle got away from a local farm.

Aside from momentarily impeding traffic flow, the herd did not cause any serious harm and even amused pedestrians and motorists.

Upon getting a report about the incident, Rosario Traffic Management Office immediately guided the cattle back to their enclosure.
