Rica Peralejo shares perspective on celebrity-fan interaction

Rica Peralejo understands the need for celebrities to accommodate fan requests.

As an actress, she was taught to be "nice and kind and accommodate everyone when you’re going out."

This she shared via a TikTok video, after a netizen told her: "Your tiktok makes me really like you. Ayoko sayo dati as artista kasi nagkasalubong tayo sa moa nagsuplada ka. Pero as I mature, I realized tao ka din."

According to Rica, it's hard for her as she's an introvert.

"It takes me a while to warm up to someone. It's not that I don't like to engage, it's just that kung meron akong kakausapin gusto ko ng enough time na makilala ko siya, makausap ko siya," she related.

Though over the years, she has learned to adjust.

But Rica reiterated: “When we're out, it's not as if we're out because we're going to engage (with) people, it's really more for like running errands or being with ourselves. So it's like catching the celebrity in a very ordinary kind of day mood. Like seriously, sino ba ’yung tao na gustong magpa-picture 24/7 ng buhay niya?”

She admitted that there are days when she feels "very friendly" and sometimes, the exact opposite.

But why is she saying all these?

Rica explained, “Binigyan ko lang kayo ng perspective kasi siyempre minsan we also feel bad when we can’t accommodate everybody. Kasi tama (kayo), when we’re out, were actually doing normal people things. But iniintidi na lang namin na it comes with teritory na siyempre ganun (talaga) kapag public figure ka.”

Just a few days ago, Kim Atienza made the news commenting on how a local volleyball team supposedly ignored fans.
