The Department of Education (DepED) expressed gratitude for the “trust and support of the Filipino people” after it emerged as among the top three performing agencies of the national government.

DepED, along with the Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), was among the top-performing government agencies based on the latest results of the OCTA Research-Tugon ng Masa survey released on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

“The reopening of schools and the resumption of in-person classes — geared at ensuring that we effectively address the enormous learning losses brought by the Covid 19 pandemic — would have been harder without your help, feedback, advice, and confidence in us,” told the Manila Bulletin in a statement.

“This strengthens our determination to find solutions to the issues and challenges besetting the Department,” DepED added.

Meanwhile, DepED also expressed hope to continue “partnering with everyone” --- especially in raising the quality of basic education in the country.

DepED also sought the continued support of education stakeholders to protect Filipino youth from all forms of abuse and promote the learners’ rights and welfare as well as personnel of the agency nationwide.
