Calatrava sworn in as new Presidential Assistant for Visayas Secretary
CEBU CITY -- The Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV) has a new secretary.
Terence Calatrava on Tuesday, Dec. 6, took his oath as OPAV Secretary before Presidential Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin at the Malacañan Palace.

As OPAV Secretary, Calatrava will represent President Marcos Jr. in Central, Eastern and Western Visayas.
In a statement released by Calatrava’s camp, the OPAV Secretary will liaise and coordinate with the different government agencies to ensure the effective and prompt delivery of services among local government units (LGU) and their constituents.
“Prior to his appointment as PAV, he was a businessman who was no stranger to public service as he was the regional director of Tingog Party List,” the statement read.
A native of Cebu, Calatrava will hold office in Cebu.
“He is committed to acting on the directives of the President, implementing the President's projects and plans for the country, and assisting in bringing the Filipino people closer to the President,” added the statement.
During the Duterte administration, the OPAV Secretary also held office in Cebu City.
The OPAV Secretary then was businessman Michael Lloyd Dino.
