Woman yields over P100K 'shabu' in Caloocan buy-bust

The Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) announced the arrest of a 49-year-old woman who was a target of a One Time Big Time Operation (OTBT) on Sunday, Dec. 4.

Police identified the suspect as Maricel Castro Cabinian, residing at Barangay 176, Caloocan City.

According to the police report, operatives of CCPS Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted a buy-bust operation against Cabinian at 6:05 a.m. on Sunday at her residence.

The suspect was immediately arrested after selling a medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing “shabu” to one of the officers who posed as a buyer.

Seized from the suspect were three pieces of medium heat-sealed transparent plastic containing “shabu” with an estimated worth of P102, 000 and the buy-bust money.

Cabinian and the seized evidence will be brought to DEU-CCPS for temporary detention and preparation of necessary documents for inquest proceedings.

She will face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II, of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
