“We cannot allow all-night drinking without any security officers coming from the establishments themselves – they must provide additional security guards during Fridays and weekends,” said Treñas in a statement.

Two groups of young men threw punches and even chairs at each other in a bar in Mandurriao district past midnight on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Footages posted on social media showed security on site unable to contain the two warring groups.

“Otherwise, we strictly enforce orders and issue closure orders to the establishments which cannot control their customers,” Treñas added.

Trenas will meet the management of the establishments involved in the following days “to set proper rules and regulations they will comply with strictly.”
