Two men arrested for illegal possession of firearms, explosive in Malabon

The Northern Police District (NPD) announced the arrest of two individuals for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition in Malabon City on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Police identified the suspects as Rogelio Santos Tolentino, 26, a resident of Barangay Tañong, Malabon City, and Allan Deriada Francisco, 40, of Navotas City.

Operatives of the Station Intelligence Section of Malabon City Police Station (MCPS) nabbed the suspects at C4 Road, Barangay Tanong, Malabon City, at about 1:50 a.m. on Saturday.

The suspects were arrested for violation of Section 28 of R.A. 10591 or Comprehensive law on firearms and ammunition and RA 9516 or Unlawful Possession of Explosives, and BP 6 (illegal possession of bladed weapon).

Confiscated evidence from the suspects were a caliber 22 revolver with five live ammunitions; a hand grenade; and an improvised bladed weapon measuring more or less nine inches long.
