2 cops killed in anti-drug operation in Pampanga

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Two policemen assigned to the Mabalacat City police station were killed in an anti-illegal drugs operation on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Initial investigation revealed that Senior Master Sgt. Sofronio Capitle Jr. and Staff Sgt. Dominador Gacusan Jr. were gunned down by five men wearing bonnets on board two motorcycles after conducting the operation in Barangay Dau.

Central Luzon police chief Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen has ordered Pampanga police director Col. Levi Hope Basilio to conduct an in-depth investigation of the murder.

Pasiwen said that no stone will be left unturned and authorities are exerting all efforts to give justice to the slain police officers.
