DepED to ensure delivery of effective, efficient services to Filipinos

Highlighting the importance of public service, the Department of Education (DepEd) assured the continued delivery of services to the Filipino people --- especially to the students and teachers.

DepEd reiterated this commitment after it garnered three awards during the 2022 Career Executive Service (CES) Lifelong Learning for Leadership Congress (CESCON).

“We, at the Department of Education, would like to ensure that the agency continues to provide effective and efficient services to the Filipino people, especially our teachers and learners,” said Undersecretary for Human Resource and Organizational Development Gloria Jumamil-Mercado.

The CESB recognized DepEd as the Agency with a High Career Executive Service Performance Evaluation System (CESPES) Compliance Rate for CY 2021, which a rating of 92 percent.

DepEd was also able to take home the National Government Agency with Highest Occupancy Rate award with 77.54 percent as of Sept. 30 and Outstanding Human Resource (HR) Partner for 2022.

“DepEd would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the CESB for appreciating the effort of the Department,” Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD) Director III Jennifer Lopez, CESO IV said.

“These achievements would surely boost the morale of our agency in providing service to the public,” she added.

On behalf of Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Z. Duterte, Jumamil-Mercado, BHROD Director Anne Rachel Miguel and Director Nina Bianca Sanglay, Lopez and other personnel from the strand formally received the award for the Department.

During the three-day program, Commission on Civil Service (CSC) Chairperson Karlo Nograles also administered the oath of 96 new CES eligibles who pledged loyalty and devotion to the growing CES community.

The senior CES officials joined them in the ceremonial pinning.
