The Taguig City government opened on Wednesday, Nov. 30, the Christmas by the Lake, a six-hectare outdoor attraction that is touted as the biggest lights park in the country.

Located at the Lakeshore Area along Laguna Lake Highway in Barangay Lower Bicutan, the attraction features more than one million lights using energy-efficient technology, lights and sounds show with laser and beam animation, and food stalls.

"This newest attraction from the City is something we should all be proud of because it reflects not only our identity as a ‘probinsyudad’ but also our values as a community," said Mayor Lani Cayetano.

She said the park "is the real meaning of Christmas: Christ, who became a man to save the world. He is the true light in our lives."

The park boasts of Christmas-themed installations, including Little Drummer Boy and nativity scenes, rides, activities and shows.

A village train and walking tour will take visitors through the three zones of Christmas by the Lake: the Lights of the City, the Heart of Christmas, and the Spirit of Christmas.

At Christmas by the Lake, visitors can express the things they are most thankful for for the year and their New Year's wishes in ribbons, which they can tie around a gratitude tree with the help of marshals.

Visitors can also enjoy other attractions such as the Aqua Luna Lights and Sounds Show featuring laser and beam animations synchronized with beautiful sound effects and an aerial light show called “Sinagtala.”

A larger-than-life walk-through kaleidoscope will also be available at the Interactive Art Murals.

Food is available at native “kubo” elevated from the water by wooden stilts, or in Mercado del Lago stalls which offer a wide array of dishes guaranteed to satisfy the palate.

The TLC Food Park (Mercato X Mercado) opens at 2 p.m. while The Mercado Del Lago Floating Village, Food Park, and Activity Hall open at 4 p.m.

Gates at The Lights of Christmas (TLC) Park open at 5 p.m. All attractions are open until midnight.
