P1.15-M shabu seized in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu valued at P1.15 million from two high-value drug peddlers in an anti-drug operation here on Wednesday, Nov. 9.

Suspects John Rex Palacios Valentino and Sam Llauderes Deanrick Saenz were arrested in Arevalo District.

The 36-year-old Valentino and 19-year-old Saenz were apprehended by combined elements of the Iloilo City Police Station (ICPO)-Station 6 and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) under the Police Regional Office (PRO-6).

The duo from La Paz District was arrested after they sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover policeman for P25,000.

Recovered from them were 19 sachets of shabu.

Confiscated illegal drugs weighed a total of 170 grams.

Leonardo was convicted for homicide and released in 2013 after serving his sentence.

Valentino and Saenz are facing charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
