Omar Larupay delivered in the clutch to help lift Lyceum hack out an 81-80 escape against San Beda in the second round of the NCAA Season 98 men's basketball tournament Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City

Aside from scoring nine of his 15 points in the payoff period, Larupay made the game-winning basket for the Pirates with 5.7 seconds left off a Renzo Navarro dish.
The Red Lions had their last-second ditch courtesy of Gab Cometa and Justine Sanchez but both of their attempts missed as the Pirates improved to a 10-5 record.
Navarro chalked up 10 points on top of seven assists and foyr rebounds while JM Bravo had 10 points and three rebounds.
Navarro and Larupay connived en route to a 78-all showdown with less than two minutes left with the former firing a booming triple and the lattee converting a game-tying shot.
Tony Ynot, who posted 13 points, five assists, and three rebounds, on the other end, wasn't about to give the lead so easily as he zoomed for a layup to retake the lead at 80-79.
But Larupay had to play the spoiler's role as Lyceum crawled back earlier from an eight-point deficit.
