Las Piñas CHO conducts house-to-house 'Vax-Baby-Vax'

The Las Piñas City Health Office (CHO) conducted a house-to-house immunization of children aged 0 to 23 months old as part of the “Vax-Baby-Vax” routine catch-up immunization program.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar asked the CHO team to go around the 16 barangays in the city to administer vaccines to children aged 0 to 23 months old and provide them with vitamins.

Aguilar said the “Vax-Baby-Vax” routine catch-up immunization program started on Nov. 7 and will last until Nov. 18.

She said the house-to-house immunization program was made to ensure that all infants will be given vaccination against measles, Hepatitis B, BCG (bacilli calmette-guerin)- a vaccine for tuberculosis, pentahib or the 5-in-1 vaccine, MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) and polio.

The mayor said the immunization program of infants is part of her administration's 5K program (Kaayusan, Kalusugan, Kabuhayan, Kaalaman at Kinbukan).

Aguilar also said "kalusugan" (health) of every resident, especially infants, is very important to her “Tuloy, Tapat at Progresibong Serbisyo.”

She said the city government was cited last June 22 for its outstanding performance during the conduct of “Chikiting Bakunation.”
