Gas station attendants triumph in Vice Ganda's 'Everybody, Sing!'

Joy overflowed when the songbayanan of gas station attendants won the P1 million jackpot prize in ABS-CBN’s “Everybody, Sing!” last Saturday (Nov. 5).   

Tensions rose during the jackpot round when the players only had four seconds left to guess the last song title. After countless attempts within the remaining time, the gas station attendants finally got the correct answer, making them the third group to take home the coveted jackpot in the show’s second season.  

“Congratulations! Napakasaya ko para sa inyong lahat. Deserve na deserve ninyo ito. Napakaganda ng pangyayaring ito dahil ito ‘yung punto ng buhay natin na minsan susuko ka na, parang wala nang natitira, parang ubos na ‘yung meron ka, pero hindi eh. Kahulihulihan pinilit ninyo, inilaban ninyo, kaya naman napagwagian ninyo,” Vice Ganda told the contestants who will be splitting the cash prize. 

In the past weeks, the songbayanan of bank employees and beauticians also took home the P1 million jackpot.  

An original concept of ABS-CBN, “Everybody, Sing!” is a unique Filipino game show that aims to underscore the importance of bayanihan and teamwork in communities especially during this pandemic. The show has been nominated in the Venice TV Awards and Asian Academy Creative Awards in 2021.
