Farmer killed in Quezon hit-and-run

MACALELON, Quezon – A 49-year-old farmer was killed in an hit-and-run accident after visiting the wake of his friend before dawn on Wednesday, Nov. 9, in Barangay Olongtao in this town.

Police identified the victim as Abel Acejo Maquinto of Barangay San Nicolas here.

Investigation showed that the victim’s body was found lying on the barangay road. Maquinto sustained a head injury which resulted in his death.

Police found tricycle tracks at the scene.

Lawmen are looking for surveillance footages to find out the vehicle and the driver who killed the victim.
