
The Philippines recorded close to 700 new cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
The Department of Health (DOH) said 694 more cases of the viral disease were confirmed, pushing the number of active cases nationwide to 16,034.
Metro Manila still had the highest number of cases in the past two weeks with 2,982.
It was followed by Calabarzon with 1,855, Western Visayas with 1,310, Central Luzon with 998, and Davao Region with 890.
Meanwhile, total recoveries climbed to 3,931,293 and the death toll stood at 64,298.
Since 2020, the Philippines has already tallied a total of 4,011,625 confirmed cases of Covid-19.
