CEBU CITY – Security measures are in place for the Bar examination at the University of San Carlos and University of Cebu here on Nov. 9, 13, 16, and 20.
Brig. Gen. Roderick Alba, chief of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas, said the Cebu City police are ready to secure the exam conducted by the Supreme Court.
"We are aiming for a zero major incident in the holding of the Bar exam here in Cebu City," Alba said in a press briefing on Monday, Nov. 7.
At least 1,600 law graduates will take the exam here.
The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) said at least 100 policemen will be deployed to secure the two examination venues.
Alba said all security measures were carefully evaluated to ensure the smooth conduct of the exam.
The PRO 7 chief said deployment of police in schools and areas leading to the examination venues has started.
To avoid disturbance during examination days, road closures and traffic rerouting may be implemented within the examination venues.
