Bb. Pilipinas withdraws from Miss Grand International pageant

Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) is officially withdrawing from the Miss Grand International.
In a statement circulating on social media, BPCI offered no actual explanation except that it will "no longer renew its franchise."

The announcement issued Monday surprised many.
"We thank the organizers of Miss Grand International and wish them the best in their future endeavors," BPCI wrote.
"With that said, we remain committed to delighting our followers and sponsors through the productions of world-class pageants that help propel Filipinas to reach their fullest potential and achieve greatness in an international stage," the organization added.
Note its last representative to the pageant Roberta Tamondong originally finished in the Top 20 of Miss Grand International 2022.
Roberta was later appointed as the new Miss Grand International 5th runner-up following the controversial resignation of Yuvna Rinishta of Mauritius.
