LAGAWE, Ifugao – Police found four transparent sachets of suspected shabu valued at P162,0000 in an unclaimed parcel in a bus station here on Saturday, Nov. 5.
The Lagawe Municipal Police Station said they received a letter from the management of a bus company informing them of a suspicious package unclaimed since Nov. 1.
Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted a sweeping operation and recovered four transparent sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 13.5 grams and a standard drug price of P162,000.
Investigation found out that the package was sent from Sampaloc, Manila on Oct. 31 and arrived on Nov. 1.
Police are tracing the recipient of the package.
Markings and inventory of the package were conducted on-site and witnessed by Poblaction East Punong Barangay Alfonso Dominong, a media representative, and Jodelle Imayaho, manager of the bus company.
The package was taken to the Lagawe police headquarters for documentation and proper disposition.
