Catholic church in Laguna robbed

PAGSANJAN, Laguna – A Catholic church in Barangay Poblacion Uno here was robbed on Saturday, Nov. 5.

Employee Marjorie Alcaraz discovered the robbery when she opened the parish office of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 6:30 a.m.

She reported the incident to the police who found out in an investigation that the burglar climbed the back fence and entered through the window of the office.

The suspect carted away cash and a cellular phone at the parish office.

He proceeded to the main altar and destroyed the tabernacle and three donation boxes containing P50,000.

The suspect fled with his loot and closed-circuit television camera footage is being reviewed to identify him.
