
The country's daily tally of Covid-19 cases increased to over 1,000 again on Saturday, Nov. 5, the Department of Health (DOH) reported.
The DOH’s Covid-19 tracker showed 1,229 new cases on Saturday. This was higher than the 776 infections recorded on Friday, Nov. 4.
In the past two weeks, the DOH said the regions with the highest cases were the National Capital Region with 3,666 cases, followed by Calabarzon with 2,262.
The other regions were Western Visayas with 1,543 cases, Central Luzon with 1,298, and Central Visayas with 922.
The country’s cumulative tally of confirmed cases went up to 4,008,550, wherein 17,123 infections remain active.
Of the total tally, 3,927,187 patients were able to survive, while 64,240 people died.
