Murder of police intelligence officer in Pangasinan 'case solved'

CAMP ANTONIO U. SISON, Lingayen, Pangasinan – Police deem the killing of an intelligence officer in Bugallon town, this province, solved after the suspect was identified and charged before provincial prosecutor here.

The murder case docketed NPS No. 1-01-INV-22K-00411 was filed by the Bugallon police station with the Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit.

Police declined to identify the suspect due to continuing manhunt operation.

The victim, Staff Sgt. Jeffrey Ignacio, was conducting surveillance in Barangay Salasa last month when a man board a scooter shot him.

A witness pinpointed the suspect who was a hitman in a rouge‘s gallery. The suspect was caught insurveillance footages in municipalities adjacent to Bugallon.
