Man arrested for raping daughter for 12 years in Cagayan

GATTARAN, Cagayan – A 39-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 3, for allegedly raping his 17-year-old daughter for 12 years here.

The suspect was arrested after the victim, accompanied by her grandmother and relatives, filed a complaint before the police.

According to the victim, her father started raping her when she was about five.

The victim failed to reveal her ordeal due to threats made by her father.

Police arrested the suspect in their house.

Recovered from the suspect were a gun, two bullets, a hand grenade, and dried marijuana leaves.

Suspect faces rape and illegal possession charges.
