The Philippine women's national football team continues to ramp up its preparation for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup with a pair of friendlies against Chile this month.

The Philippine Football Federation announced the development on Friday, Nov. 4, as the Filipinas take on Chile on Nov. 12 first at the Estadio Sausalito in Vina del Mar.
Next match is slated on Nov. 15 at the Municipal dela Pintana in Santiago.
The friendlies are also part of the 11-day training camp of the Filipinas booters in Chile, a nation that qualified previously in the 2019 edition of the FIFA World Cup.
Chile, for its part, is set to compete for a slot in the continental playoff as the World Cup kicks off in New Zealand and Australia next year.
"The camp and the matches are historic as this will be the first time the PFF will be sending the team to South America," said PFF president Mariano Araneta.
"With less than a year before the Women's World Cup, the PFF wants to make sure that the team continues to stay sharp and ready."
The Chile camp also marks the first time that the nationals will regroup and train since the official draw, which saw the Filipinas being joined by Norway, New Zealand, and Switzerland over in Group A.
Last month, the Filipinas, who are the reigning AFF Women's Championship titlist, settled for a draw first before falling to Costa Rica in another set of friendly matches.
"It's a great opportunity for the team to continue testing their abilities and to improve," added Filipinas team manager Jeff Cheng.
