Busy Cong Matibag promises hubby: 'Bawi ako sayo'

Laguna 1st district Rep. Ma. Rene Ann Lourdes Matibag had been very busy lately tending to the needs of her constituents who had been adversely affected by severe tropical storm (STS) "Paeng".

It's no wonder then that the lady solon decide to write a rather sweet Facebook post dedicated to her husband, Melvin Matibag, wherein she promised that she would "make things up" to him soon.

"Posting this outtake while this Atenean seasoned lawyer is busy taking firm’s comms and checking my Facebook Page hihi," the lady lawmaker wrote, referring to several "stolen shots" of the former acting Cabinet secretary while the latter was using his phone.

"Bawi ako syo (I'll make it up to you) to date me when it’s the day I already said yes to you 10 years ago. For now tipid and sacrifice muna (Let's save up and sacrifice for now)," Rep. Matibag added.

She then concluded her post with this "awww"-inducing line: "I missed you so much the whole day, love you!"

Rep. Matibag is a vice chairperson of the House Committees on Women and Gender Equality and on Suffrage and Electoral Reforms in the ongoing 19th Congress.
