Bren Esports did exactly what it promised as it avenged the loss of fellow Filipino team ECHO by taking down EVOS Legends, 2-1, in the second round of the MPL Invitational 2022 on Friday, Nov. 4.

Determined to get back at the Indonesian crew which eliminated the MPL Philippines Season 10 runner-up, Bren Esports courtesy of Season 10 rookie of the year Michael "Kyletzy" Sayson delivered the big plays in the deciding match to advance to the quarterfinals where it is set to face MPL Indonesia champion Onic Esports and Filipino import Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol.
The MPL PH S10 fourth players put up a methodical performance in the winner-take-all Game 3 as the Filipinos slowly but surely disrupted the enemy lines and positioning especially during the massive team fights -- evident in Kyletzy's game winning set where he caught three EVOS players on the Heavy Spin ultimate on his Akai during the final Lord match.
Kyletzy finished with a 1-0-5 line on the Akai while Season 10 best gold laner Marco "Super Marco" Requitano contributed a perfect 6-1-1 line on the Beatrix.
It was actually Bren which drew first blood in the series behind the magnificent draft from coach Francis "Duckeyy" Glindro in Game 1.
A support Saber pick for team captain Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel and the surprise Harith gold lane pick for Super Marco worked to perfection as the Filipinos dominated their Indonesian counterparts, 25-6.
Kyletzy shone on the jungle Julian pick with a 6-1-9 line while Super Marco dashed his way to a perfect 9-0-8 KDA on the Harith. Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo meanwhile put the cuffs on EVOS star jungler Ferxiic who suffered seven deaths in Game 1, using a Ruby pick who scattered a 2-2-16 line
EVOS then selected the controversial Masha pick anew in Game 2 -- the same hero which caused some questions to its victory against ECHO in the first round of the tournament.
With Saykots on the Masha, EVOS legends made the life of Super Marco miserable in the second game as his Wanwan pick was the first target by EVOS heroes during team fight. Hijumee led the way for the Indonesians with a 6-1-4 KDA on the midlane Valentina -- all of which however still went futile as they couldn't complete a reverse sweep in Game 3.
