'Wednesday' Addams series sets premiere record on Netflix; 'Reborn Rich' in top 10

“Wednesday,” the supernatural mystery about Wednesday Addams of The Addams Family set a new record on Netflix for its premiere.

The series, starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, debuted at No. 1 on Netflix’s weekly Global Top 10 on TV (English) for Nov. 21 to 27 with 341.23 million hours viewed.

This set the record for the most hours viewed in a week for an English TV series on Netflix. More than 50 million households have watched the series, according to Netflix.

“Wednesday,” directed and executive produced by Tim Burton, is No. 1 in 83 countries and regions, tying with “Stranger Things 4.”

Meanwhile, the Korean drama “Reborn Rich” starring Song Joong-ki of “Vincenzo” debuted at No. 4 on the non-English TV chart with 10.35 million hours viewed during the same period.
