Police arrest 241 law violators in weeklong simultaneous operations in Batangas


CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas City -- Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) reported the arrest of 241 individuals involved in different cases, and confiscated some P1.4 million worth of shabu and marijuana during a weeklong simultaneous anti-criminality law enforcement operation (SACLEO).

Batangas Police director Col. Pedro Soliba said that out of 241, 96 were involved in drug trading who were apprehended inside 86 police operations. About 146.70 grams of shabu and 1,129.76 grams of marijuana amounting to P1,147,801.20 were seized in the series of operations.

The operations covered the period from Nov. 20 to Nov.26 and were carried out by various police stations of Batangas.

The report added that on service of warrants of arrest, 56 wanted persons were put behind bars, including 10 most wanted in regional level, 10 in the provincial level, and eight in the city/municipal. Police also nabbed 28 other wanted persons.

The report added that 81 other law violators involved in gambling and illegal possession of firearms were also arrested.

“Batangas PNP is serious in its campaign against criminality,” said Soliba.

“We are committed to ensure that the community is safe especially in this coming season of Holidays,” added Soliba.
