Cosplay icon Myrtle Sarrosa said that she's excited to be a bridesmaid in the upcoming wedding of her good friend fellow cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao and Christopher Quimbo on Feb. 14, 2023.
"Sinabihan niya ako a few days ago na kukunin niya akong bridesmaid sa wedding niya. I'm so grateful na kinuha niya as one of her bridesmaids. I've known her many years ago so napag daanan ko from her first relationship until now. Nakalaro ko na rin sa gaming yung fiance' niya. So sabi ko I'm so happy na kayo ang nagkatuluyun," said Myrtle at the launch of her endorsement for Guitar Apparel at the Bean Leaf Cafe Fisher Mall in Quezon City on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
(She told me a few days ago that she will take me as a bridesmaid in her wedding. I'm so grateful that she took me as one of her bridesmaids. I've known her for many years so I've been able to go through it from her first relationship until now. I have also played with her fiance in gaming. So I said I'm so happy that you two are together.)
Asked about her wish for Alodia, Myrtle said: "Yung pinaka-wish ko kay Ate Alodia para sa kaniyang wedding is forever happiness. I know that she's been through a lot and I've been there for her in a decade of friendship. So I'm just excited for her to be happy.
"Back in 2019, she's one of the most popular cosplayers tapos sumasali ako ng tournaments. And she invites me to her events tapos nagkaroon ako ng opportunities magco-host in a lot of things," she said.
Myrtle, 27, also revealed she's not in a relationship these days.
"Magiging masaya naman ang Pasko ko kasi maglalaro pa rin ako during the holidays. I really enjoy video games. To answer your question, yes malamig (ang Pasko ko). For now kasi hindi ko talaga ine-entertain 'yung thought of having a relationship. Sa ngayon mas mahalaga sa akin yung mga bagay na nag-e-enjoy ako like cosplay."
(My Christmas will be fun because I will still be playing during the holidays. I really enjoy video games. To answer your question, yes (my Christmas) is cold for now because I don’t really entertain the thought of having a relationship. Right now the things I enjoy like cosplay are more important to me.)
On her latest endorsement, Myrtle said: "It's my birthday on Dec. 7 at para akong nagkaroon ng early birthday gift with this endorsement. I'm grateful."
Myrtle said she wishes good health for her family and friends on her birthday. So far, lahat ng wishes ko for 2022 have been granted and thankful ako sa lahat ng binigay sa akin ni Lord.
On being called as an icon in cosplay, Myrtle said: "Kinikilig pa rin ako kapag tinatawag nila akong icon sa cosplay. This is the first time na they acknowledge me as an icon in cosplay. Nakakatuwa rin talaga na makita ko ang aking mga fellow cosplayers."

Guitar President Andy Kho welcomed Myrtle to the Guitar family.

Her contract signing was also witnessed by Kho and Renze Banawa, Sparkle Manager.
