BTS Jungkook's 'Dreamers' World Cup track debuts at No. 1 on Billboard Hot Trending Songs
K-pop idol group BTS’ Jungkook scored another achievement through “Dreamers,” the main song in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 official soundtrack that he sang at the opening ceremony.
“Dreamers” was released on Nov. 20 and Jungkook headlined the performances at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar on the same day.

The song debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Dec. 3-dated Hot Trending Songs chart, which is powered by Twitter.
“It’s Jung Kook’s first solo No. 1 on the weekly Hot Trending Songs chart; he previously rose as high as No. 2 with ‘Stay Alive’ in February,” according to Billboard.
With “Dreamers,” Jungkook debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, and grabbed the No. 4 and 9 slots on the Billboard Global Excl. US and Billboard Global 200 charts.
Red Velvet’s “Birthday” debuted at No. 2 on the Hot Trending Songs chart, followed by Bibi’s “Bibi Vengeance,” Rammstein’s “Adieu,” and Bibi’s “Jotto.”
Garnering sixth to 10th places are Girls’ Generation’s “Lucky Like That,” Bibi’s “Lowlife Princess,” Camila Cabello’s “Liar,” and GOT7 member Mark Tuan’s “More” and “No Tears.”
“Billboard’s Hot Trending charts, powered by Twitter and sponsored by Xfinity Mobile, track global music-related trends and conversations in real-time across Twitter, viewable over either the last 24 hours or past seven days. A weekly, 20-position version of the chart, covering activity from Friday through Thursday of each week, posts alongside Billboard’s other weekly charts on Billboard.com each Tuesday,” according to Billboard.
Meanwhile, BTS ARMYs have complained that "Dreamers" should have debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's global charts. They said YouTube placed the video in the wrong category. The streams for "Dreamers" were counted at 42.7 million instead of at least 74 million, they added.
