CEBU CITY -- A 44-year-old British national was arrested after yielding about 50 grams of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Apas here on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 29.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA-7) information officer Leia Alcantara said the suspect was identified as Allan Ross, who was arrested right in his condominium.
Also arrested were Miraflor Verona, 30, and Jasmin Hyacinth Medez, 19, who were caught inside the condominium that has been used as a drug den, said Alcantara.
The foreigner’s alleged illegal drug activities had been under monitoring for a month, Alcantara said.
Alcantara revealed that according to the information the PDEA-7 had gathered, Ross would bring women in his condo and would let them sniff shabu in exchange for sex.
Alcantara added some of Ross’ illegal drug supply would be sold to his clients while some were for his personal consumption.
The foreigner was capable of selling 100 grams of shabu a week, Alcantara said.
Confiscated during the operation were eight packs of shabu weighing around 50 grams with an estimated market value of P340,000, the buy-bust money, a cell phone, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested persons, the PDEA-7 said.
