ILOILO CITY – Nineteen graduates of the West Visayas State University (WVSU) in this city landed in the Top 10 of the Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE) conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) this month.
Jezrel Cabasis Alijid ranked second with a rating of 89.80 percent. Emmanuel John Dorado Aggabao was third with 89.60 percent, Carlos Jose Estacio Cerrada, Pauline Marie Robide Haro, Terese Angel Mispeñas Lee, and Emielle Salinas Ong, fourth with a rating of 89.40 percent;
Sixth with a rating of 89 percent were Pauline C. Castro, Sarah Joy C. Demetillo, and Mark Aron T. Martirez. Seventh were Francis John P. Gargarita and Ernesto T. Gargaritano III with a rating of 88.80 percent;
No. 8 with a rating of 88.60 percent were Chelsy Sophia B. Acain, Mary Bless G. Debuque, Mary Therese C. Jambaro, and Steffi Marie S. Lao;
Ranked ninth with a rating of 88.20 percent were Maria Katrina Izabylle C. Alegario, Aquiz E. Salcedo, John Earl Albert A. Luces, and Maria Luisa V. Pelayo.
All 134 WVSU nursing examinees this year passed and the school was No. 1 among Top 10 performing schools in the exam.
Exam result was released on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
The PRC said 18,529 out of 24,903 examinees passed the NLE given by the Board of Nursing in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
On the Board of Nursing who gave the licensure examination are Elsie A. Tee, chairman; and Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Elizabeth C. Lagrito, Zenaida C. Gagno, Marylou B. Ong, Merle L. Salvani, and Leah Primitiva S. Paquiz, members.
