The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deported 21 Chinese nationals constituting the second batch of foreigners working for the Philippine Overseas Gaming Operators (POGO).
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said this brought to 27 the number of aliens deported since the government initiated the crackdown against colorum online gaming operations.
The BI chief said the latest deportees boarded a Philippine Airlines flight to Wuhan, China on Wednesday, Nov.2.
Tansingco said the deportation process will continue until the more than 300 illegal foreign POGO workers are returned to their respective countries, mostly China.
Tansingco said the next deportation will be carried out shortly in close coordination with the Chinese Embassy for the early release of travel papers.
He said those deported will be blacklisted to prevent them from returning to the country.
Tansingco said Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla was briefed and monitored the deportation.
